Badge tips

For faster Card Up Your Sleeve or Luau badges, bet 1 and hit on EVERYTHING under 21 to increase your chances of getting the required card.

For Card Up Your Sleeve, use each Up Your Sleeve card as soon as you get it. If you're holding one, you won't be dealt another.

For Ukulele, use each Bust Protector card as soon as you get it by betting 1 and hitting on EVERYTHING under 21 in the next hand. You get a new Bust Protector card when you hit the last volcano before an eruption/spin, but only if you don't have one before starting a new eruption cycle.

For Blackjack Attack, don't bother splitting aces as blackjacks dealt to splits won't count.

For game win badges, refer to Game tips.

Game tips

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help!

This is casino-style blackjack (or 21), and the dealer will hit on anything under 17. Blackjacks or 5-card hands are automatic wins.

You can play this game alone with Pogobots or with one or two other humans. There are always three players in a game, but each is playing against the dealer - not each other.

Keep Up Your Sleeve cards until they'll give you an even 21 to lessen the chance of wasting them. Keep small value Up Your Sleeve cards to complete a 5 Card Charlie that will total 21, as you'll go up four volcanoes as opposed to only three for 5 Card Charlies totaling 20 or under.

If you count cards, this game uses six decks.. that's 24 aces. A notice will show on the screen when a new six-deck shoe starts.

Use the Tip button if you want to play using commonly accepted blackjack guidelines, or you can take chances that the cards will play against the odds.. it is Pogo after all, and they often do.

More about Casino Island Blackjack

Gameplay is identical to Blackjack Carnival, with the addition of the Bust Protector and Up Your Sleeve cards, and without its side bets.

The game layout is almost identical to Ride the Tide.

This game's How to Play has an error: on the Gameplay>Volcanoes tab it says you go up one volcano when another player gets a blackjack, but the Blackjack Sharing bonus actually moves you up two volcanoes. Pogo has added a graphic to The Basics tab that has the correct number.

This game ranks up relatively fast early on and can be finished with some dedicated time during the long final ranks.

Although the final badge is awarded at rank 50, there's an additional 51st rank in this game for some reason.
